One time in a hockey video game my friends and I saw that Probert was an unlockable character, and we wanted him on our team, but you had to trade someone of equal value to get him. So we created a character and spent a bunch of games playing as him to level him up. His name was Prebert. And then once we got Probert, it turns out he sucked, so we got rid of him and made another character named Postbert.
That was how we spent an entire month of our summer. That and watching reruns of American Gladiators. Good times.

Wayne Gretzky is all smiles as Bill Ranford, Esa Tikkanen, Mark Messier, and Kevin Lowe look on after Edmonton defeated Boston in five games to claim the 1988 Stanley Cup. This year’s Kings squad are one win away from a championship and could become the first No. 8 seed to win a Cup. They also have a chance to equal the 16-2 mark of the 1988 Oilers, the best mark since the NHL adopted the current format of four rounds of best-of-series. (David E. Klutho/SI)

I know who I’m rooting for the rest of the way through. Western conference at least.
